Why Do Cats Pull Out Their Hair?

"why

Why do cats pull out their own hair? For most cat owners, the answer to this question is obvious, but for many people, the answer may not be so obvious.

Cat care issues can quickly become maddening and frustration sets in if you keep up with your cat’s needs without knowing the real reason for the behavior.

Let’s start with some common sense cat care advice.

While it is true that your cat does not have a human hair, it does still need regular grooming to keep its coat healthy and beautiful.

Regular brushing is one of the best ways to keep your cat healthy and happy, so take time and make sure your cat gets a good bit of attention in the morning and late evening.

As well, make sure that you use a shampoo designed for cats, or a shampoo that has ingredients specially formulated for cats.

If you brush your cat’s fur with regular dog hair, he may end up with dandruff, which is a serious problem that can cause many health problems, such as asthma, irritation of the skin, and even hairballs.

While these are more serious problems than a little flea infestation, too much flea exposure can also lead to skin irritation, so make sure you get your cat to the vet if your hair starts to get scaly or blotchy.

Also, if you have young children around your cat, it may be a good idea to stop using soap on the dog.
